I think this confusion may be due to many of our competitors using plated wire which costs far less than unplated UP-OCC Single Crystal wire. In order to offset the costs of this wire, a large quantity must be ordered and reordered under a negotiated supplier price contract. Many smaller companies do not have the resources to invest in this commitment.
Secondly, our cables are less complex than wire makers that employ multiple wire strands (rope lay) which drives up the cost. Our cable designs employ two to three conductors to eliminate dielectric distortion of multi-conductor designs.
In our original prototypes, we did experiment with plated wire but sonically it demonstrated brightness and edge. The Single Crystal wire was much sweeter sounding with better focus akin to a good vinyl recording.
